Coffee is a living product that evolves over time. Ideally, it is at its peak between 2 and 6 weeks after roasting, when its aromas are fully developed and its freshness is optimal. But don’t panic about the roast dates!
Coffee that is too fresh (less than 7 days after roasting) can sometimes present extraction challenges, particularly due to the natural degassing of the beans. Give it a little time to 'rest,' especially if you are making espressos.
After this ideal period, coffee begins to slowly degrade, but it remains quite pleasant to drink well beyond 6 weeks, especially if stored properly. Our 340 g cans are ideal for preserving freshness and aromas thanks to their effective barrier against oxygen.
Each coffee has its own personality and evolves differently over time. You might even discover unexpected flavors in a slightly 'aged' coffee. So, enjoy, explore, and treat yourself!
